Description :

As a District Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving sales performance in your assigned market. You’ll lead and coach a sales team, helping them achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with our company vision and values.

This position will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for the primary ownership of accounts in the assigned area(s).

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage lead, motivate and develop personnel including selection, performance management and employee relations
  • Schedule and conduct ride-with and team sells as required
  • Maintain retail call frequency as required
  • Establish and monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss)
  • Develop and execute key sales objectives, as assigned
  • Develop, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators as it relates to the Sales Department
  • Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, Wholesaler Equity Agreement and Anheuser-Busch standards and policies
  • Respond, investigate and resolve retailer questions and concerns
  • Manage expenses for assigned area of responsibility
  • Call on chain buyer to develop and implement retail chain programs
  • Participate in samplings to support brand awareness and consumer trials

  • Continuously expand your knowledge of complex brands and selling strategies
  • Possess a strong understanding of consumer and brand marketing
  • Demonstrated coaching skills, supervisory experience preferred
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects

Education / Training / Experience

  • Valid Driver’s License with proof of no-fault insurance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree or equivalent work experience / training / education preferred
  • Three to five years’ direct sales experience
  • Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Physical Demands and Environment :

  • Occasional physical exertion including the regular lifting of objects weighing between 25 pounds and 40 pounds; occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 165pounds
  • Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the work day
  • Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
  • Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
  • Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set-up of displays
