Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
- Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and collecting medical history and chief complaints.
- Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document observations thoroughly in medical records.
- Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document all medical entries and billing information in electronic records.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
- Manage sample medications and logs, coordinate necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
- Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
Education and Experience Required :
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.
Work Shift : Day shifts, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm, with PRN scheduling.
