The Corporate Staff Accountant will ensure financial accuracy through month-end close journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Key duties include managing cash receipts, non-revenue receivables, employee expense reports, and credit card transactions.
The role involves maintaining reconciliation worksheets, supporting fixed assets tasks, and tracking research and development expenses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prepare month end close journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure their accuracy. Research variances and discrepancies, when applicable.
- Manage cash receipts processing and recording of non-revenue receivables.
- Handle the recording and analysis of employee expense reports and credit card transactions.
- Update and maintain reconciliation worksheets for prepaid expenses, accruals, intangible assets, interest, etc.
- Perform analytical review for income statement accounts and assist management with variance analysis.
- Assist the team with Fixed Assets related tasks.
- Manage research & development expense tracking and analysis.
- Assist with internal / external audit requests.
- Support internal and external reporting as needed.
- Perform ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.
Education & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years professional accounting experience.
- Familiarity with US GAAP.
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and team-oriented individual with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience with Quorum accounting system and OpenInvoice preferred.
- Good communication skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Flexible to work overtime during peak periods.
