The Corporate Strategy Group charts our course for long-term profitable growth. This team drives Lam in the development of and alignment to our strategic priorities and key initiatives.

Additionally, they oversee Lam's Corporate Development team and Lam Capital, which makes investments that help fuel technologies of the future.

The Impact You'll Make

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify and screen new investment opportunities in the semiconductor, software, advanced materials, and manufacturing sector.
• Collaborate with internal technology, engineering, and corporate stakeholders to identify strategic alignment and opportunities with potential investment candidates.
• Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including financial, legal, technical, and operational aspects.
• Perform financial modeling and valuation to assess the viability and growth potential of prospective investments.
• Prepare investment memos and presentations to present investment recommendations to the investment committee.
• Lead deal execution and portfolio management, including deal structuring, negotiation, closing, and post-investment monitoring.
• Build and manage relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other partners in the venture ecosystem.
• Frequently visit local VC networking events to build a deal funnel for Lam Capital.

What You'll DoWho We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. MBA, Advanced Technical or Engineering degree strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally at a venture capital firm or within a corporate venture capital group focused on semiconductors and / or deep tech.
• Total relevant industry experience of at least 10 years.
• Experience at a startup is a strong plus.
• Experience in product management, technology development, and / or business development is a strong plus.
• Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills, as well as proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Self-starter, creative and flexible problem solver who can cope with ambiguity and uncertainty.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex.

On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.

Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position : $147,000.00 - $311,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only.

Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.

Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
