Medical Administrative Assistant

- Expereince in patient access / medical receptionist roles is preferred
- Customer service experience

Job Overview :
- This position is working the evening shift.
- Check patients in and out as well as schedule or reschedule appointments
- Explains insurance benefits and patient liability by using appropriate communication methods / styles
- Identifies and communicates payer authorizations and referral requirements as required
- responsible for financial counseling and insurance verification, and notification to patients and / or guardians of financial responsibility
- Educates and assists patients with the completion / submission of applications for alternative sources of payment for healthcare services
Other Information :
- Openings for Patient Access Associate 1 and 2 are open
- Shift : Evening Shift; 2 : 30 - 11 : 00 or 3 : 00 - 11 : 30
- Rotating weekends (will get two days off during the week when working the weekends)
- This is a full time, fully in person role
- Pay : 18 - 23 an hour
