Overview :
Lilly recently acquired a state-of-the-art parenteral manufacturing site located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This new site will further expand Lilly's global parenteral (injectable) product manufacturing network and support increased demand for the Company's medicines.
The Senior Director of Finance and Procurement will be a member of the Site Lead Team and have operational and functional responsibility for a local team across Finance and Procurement.
The Senior Director will be responsible for staffing, onboarding, and developing each individual role across this team. The Senior Director will coordinate and execute all financial processes at the site, including responsibility for planning, forecasting, and actual reporting activities.
In addition, the Senior Director will oversee and implement the procurement agenda for the site, including sourcing materials and services and managing all suppliers required to operate the site.
Responsibilities :
Staff, lead, develop, and retain a team of talented and diverse individuals that can deliver on site and team objectives.
Maintain a safe working environment and support Health, Safety & Environmental corporate and site goals.
Provide financial / business perspectives on a broad range of issues as a member of the Site Lead Team.
Develop and implement local financial and procurement processes that are aligned and integrated with global processes.
Assure timely and accurate accounting of site activity and adherence to corporate policies and practices, including the maintenance of financial and other controls and documentation.
Facilitate the development, validation, and review of the site’s financial plans, forecasts, and actual performance.
Develop and implement site procurement strategy in partnership with global procurement organization.
Procure materials and services through a team of procurement professionals to enable site operations while balancing costs and working capital investments.
Basic Requirements :
Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in finance, accounting, or related function.
Team leadership and people management experience with prior experience hiring, training, and accomplishing business objectives through teams.
Exemplification of high integrity, fiscal responsibility, and business ownership.
Additional Skills / Preferences :
MBA or CPA preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, agility, and adaptability to lead in a complex, dynamic, and evolving environment.
Demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities, strongly influence the setting of direction and exceed expectations on deliverables.
Prior experience with controllership, product costing, vendor negotiations, sourcing, and data stewardship.
Prior experience with operational excellence, including lean management and / or Six Sigma.
Technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SAP.
Additional Information :
Onsite attendance is required.
Domestic travel is estimated at up to 10% annually.
Work outside of normal core business hours may be required at times.
