Staff Accountant

Covenant Physician Partners is hiring a Staff Accountant I at our corporate headquarters located in Downtown Nashville, TN.

About The Opportunity

This position is responsible for processing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and oversight and understanding of the general ledger and how it impacts the company’s monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements.

SHIFT :

This is a hybrid position with 3-days in office in Nashville and 2-days work from home.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

• Responsible for various general ledger accounts including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analysis of variances in account activity.
• Prepare GAAP financials including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows for major subsidiaries.
• Prepare financial analysis and respond to management inquiries.
• Assist external auditors with schedule preparation and respond to audit questions.
• Assist in preparation of presentation of financials to member managers on a monthly basis.
• Cash management manage cash on a daily / weekly basis to determine cash requirements.
• Other duties / tasks / projects as assigned.

About The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting / Finance from four-year College or University and
• 1-3 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Healthcare industry experience a plus.
• Experience with Month-end Close is a plus.
• CPA certification is plus.
• Strong customer focus, accuracy and analytical skills are key.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Superior communication skills.
• Proficiency MS office programs (Word and Excel) and Outlook email.
• Experience with NetSuite software is helpful but not required.
