Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with industry standards. Manage and resolve any issues related to policy changes, cancellations, or endorsements promptly. Acts as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers during the claims process. Provides guidance on the best course of action for the clients in the event of a claim. Proactively identifies opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling personal lines products. Participate in the renewal process, ensuring the retention of existing clients. Provide detailed insurance proposals to clients based on their evolving needs. Guides and mentors junior account managers, supporting and assisting with complex client situations. Train and assist new team members to ensure they were knowledgeable about policies, processes, and systems. Leads by example regarding client service, professionalism, and insurance expertise. Stay updated with industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes. Ensure all activities comply with insurance laws, regulations, and company policies. Educate clients about industry developments and how they impact their coverage needs. Maintain accurate client records in the company's CRM or policy management system. Prepare periodic reports on client account status, claims, and retention metrics for management review. A high school diploma is required; a bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management or a similar role. Strong background in handling high-value accounts and complex personal insurance needs. An active Virginia property and casualty insurance license is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Advanced knowledge of personal lines products, including auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella policies. Proficient in using insurance management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle challenging or complex client situations with professionalism and poise. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.

The Senior Account Manager will also guide and mentor junior account managers, supporting and assisting with complex client situations.
