Summary :
This is a Leadership position responsible for spearheading the firm’s HR and talent initiatives and building out this new focus area of the company from the ground up.
This role will be integral in helping to shape the firm’s long-term growth trajectory. The successful candidate will be forward thinking, develop plans and communicate effectively to Senior Leadership.
Key Accountabilities :
- Manage Talent Development & Acquisition for the company addressing the talent needs of all departments and work with leadership on long-term talent strategies to achieve company goals.
- Support department leaders with assessing talent, prioritizing hiring needs, hiring process and developing retention strategies including career pathing for employees.
- Lead efforts to build a ready-now pipeline of employee candidates to fill existing and future employee needs for each department.
- Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship, including working with leadership across all departments to develop and execute employee engagement strategies that promote the company and realize its goal of becoming the employer of choice in their industry.
- Lead the development and implementation of performance management program and review process meeting the needs of each department driving overall employee accountability.
- Collaborate with Department Leaders to refresh job descriptions and lead the development / implementation of a performance management program across all departments.
- In collaboration with the COO and Controller, develop a salary band for each role by department that is market competitive and creates consistency on job salaries across the organization over time.
- Other Human Resource responsibilities include :
- Oversee Employee Benefits Administration
- Manage employment and personnel policies and make sure the company is compliant from an employment perspective.
- Provides new employee onboarding including orientation and desk set up.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Manage special projects and special events such as company the picnic and holiday party.
- Oversees administrative team (two individuals).
Experience & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- 5-10+ years of Talent Acquisition Management experience, including strategy and process oversight.
- Proven experience working with one (1) or more Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and / or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Computer proficiency including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Proven experience with all items listed above in the Key Accountabilities section of this job description.
- Professional Designations / Certification (PHR or SPHR) is a plus.
- Proven ability to influence at all levels, including previously sitting at the leadership table and driving / initiating change for the better.
