The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of our facility, which specializes in bottlingsoaps and oils for cast iron pans and cutting boards, as well as bundling various items for sale.
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, organized, and safe warehouse operations, managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Warehouse Operations :
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee the bottling process for soaps and oils, ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate the bundling of various items into saleable packages, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Inventory Management :
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock audits.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Implement and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize loss and discrepancies.
- Staff Supervision :
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring all employees are well-informed of their responsibilities and safety protocols.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Safety and Compliance :
- Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Logistics and Shipping :
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Liaise with shipping carriers and vendors to optimize logistics and transportation.
- Reporting and Documentation :
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and staff productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse activities, including production, shipping and receiving records.
Professional Skills and Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing or bottling environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions within the warehouse.
