Summary :
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for timely and accurately processing of Company invoices including, but not limited to general ledger coding and obtaining appropriate approvals in accordance with FCS policy.
This position is 100% onsite in Ft Myers.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Understand and follow FCS policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Communicate positively, efficiently, and effectively with coworkers, physicians, and vendors.
- Compile and review accounts payable documents according to established FCS procedures, inclusive of price / quantity / credit memo data, note discrepancies, and take appropriate action.
- Verify accuracy of invoice and obtain appropriate levels of approval.
- Accurately and timely process invoices, assign correct G / L account numbers and enter approved invoices into the accounts payable system.
- Work with the Compliance Department, Locums Tenens, and appropriate FCS Managers to ensure timely approval and accuracy of rates and coverage logs.
- Evaluate, code, and process physician expense reimbursement reports and committee participation reimbursements. Communicate with the physicians and office managers on a monthly basis to discuss timely reimbursements.
- Have basic knowledge of accounts payable and purchasing department functions and system modules.
- Work with office managers to ensure items are received and paid in a timely manner.
- Process and analyze all business, physicians, ARNP licenses and credentialing for payment.
- Ensure adherence to IRS guidelines.
- Performs other accounts payable related duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES :
Education : - High School Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE :
- 1- year of accounts payable experience preferred.
- Experience with Workday base application system a plus.
- 1-2 General office experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft products required.
