LIS Solutions seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Consultant with a focus on the Intelligence Services Market.
This individual will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new Intelligence opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to secure contracts.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our business portfolio by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities within the intelligence services sector.
This role requires a deep understanding of the unique needs, challenges, and procurement processes of intelligence agencies, as well as a proven track record of building relationships within this market.
About the Role
Market Research & Opportunity Identification :
- Conduct thorough research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and service needs within the intelligence services market.
- Develop market entry strategies to target key intelligence agencies and stakeholders, including the Intelligence Community (IC), DoD, Law Enforcement Agencies, and other federal and global intelligence organizations.
- Ensure LIS has information covering customer’s budget priorities, procurement desires, mission requirements, key influencers and decision makers, and opportunity timing.
Strategic Planning & Business Development :
- Create and implement comprehensive business development plans to grow market share and achieve revenue targets in the intelligence services sector.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officers within target agencies.
- Assist / Lead the development of proposals, RFP responses, and marketing materials tailored to the intelligence services market.
- Shape customer intelligence opportunities through development and submission of white papers, market survey responses, and other customer interactions by presenting ideas and concepts that favorably position customer acquisition strategies.
Relationship Building & Networking :
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with intelligence community stakeholders, including government officials, contractors, and partners.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and expand your professional network.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential partners, integrators, and technology providers to enhance service offerings.
Sales Execution & Deal Closure :
- Drive the end-to-end business development cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiations and deal closure.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, track progress using CRM tools, and provide regular status reports to leadership.
- Meet or exceed revenue and sales targets by closing new business in the intelligence services market.
Competitive Analysis & Market Intelligence :
- Analyze competitor offerings and market positioning to identify differentiation strategies.
- Provide feedback and insights to internal teams on client needs, challenges, and potential service improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of business development experience within the Intelligence Services Market
- Must possess a proven track record of identifying, pursuing and winning Intelligence Services opportunities ($20M or more)
- Outstanding verbal, written and inter-personal skills needed to communicate effectively and persuasively with personnel at all levels (customers, partners and LIS).
