Description

The Emory Empathetic AI for Health Institute is currently seeking a motivated and talented undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a Communications Intern.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience in communication tasks, including website maintenance, newsletter development, and social media management.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Website Maintenance :
  • Update and maintain content on the Institute’s website.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure website content aligns with organizational goals and objectives of the Institute.

  • Conduct regular website audits to identify and address any issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Newsletter Development :
  • Assist in the creation and design of newsletters to keep stakeholders informed about the Institute’s news, updates, and events.
  • Gather and curate relevant content the Institute.

Manage distribution lists and ensure newsletters are sent out in a timely manner.

  • Social Media Management :
  • Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms (., Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Monitor social media channels for trends and conversations related to the Institute.
  • Respond to comments and messages, fostering positive engagement with the online community.
  • Position Type : Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic graphic design skills are a plus.

NOTE : Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
