Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Carpenter & Zuckerman. As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to support our attorneys in the litigation process.

This includes legal document preparation, document review, legal research, and assisting with the preparation of pleadings and motions.

Responsibilities

• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software
• Monitor statute of limitation dates for filing lawsuits and government claim deadlines
• Prepare summons and complaints, statement of damages, applications for publication, guardian ad litem forms, etc.
• Schedule depositions, hearings and QMEs.
• Order medical reports and organize case management statements
• Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
• Strong knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure
• Ability to compose correspondence
• 5-7 years of experience in a Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Firm
• Paralegal certification preferred
