Position is Hybrid in Rosemont, IL 4 days per week on site
About the Role :
Sourcing and Supplier Management : Research and identify reliable suppliers for raw ingredients. Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and pricing.
Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiation and Cost Optimization : Negotiate purchase agreements to secure competitive prices. Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs.
Inventory Control and Demand Forecasting : Develop inventory controls to track ingredient demand. Anticipate fluctuations in demand and adjust procurement accordingly.
Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to meet production schedules.
Quality Assurance : Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure ingredient quality. Address any quality issues promptly and work with suppliers to resolve them.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance. Generate reports on procurement activities and cost savings.
Qualifications :
- 2-3+ years Raw Ingredients procurement experience
- Prior Food & Beverage experience
- SAP experience
- Strong excel skills
