Job Description
As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading safety training sessions, conducting regular inspections, and monitoring compliance with safety guidelines.
Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to identifying and addressing potential hazards and ensuring a safe workplace for our employees.
Additionally, you will collaborate with management to implement new safety procedures and stay up to date with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and annual safety training.
- Perform routine inspections of job sites to assess compliance with safety guidelines and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure employees are adhering to safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the inspection process and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the branch manager and production supervisor to ensure crews are properly trained and equipped for specific jobs.
- Manage the procurement of safety gear and supplies for the workplace.
- Stay updated on state and federal health and safety regulations, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Consult with the Regional Risk Manager to develop and implement new safety procedures.
- Address any workplace-related health issues and accidents promptly and effectively.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and maintain OSHA 30hr certification.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, effectively communicate safety procedures, and provide guidance to employees.
- Pay close attention to detail, exhibiting strong organizational skills and the ability to identify potential safety risks.
- Utilize problem-solving and analytical abilities to proactively address safety concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
- Spend time on job sites to monitor conditions and inspect products, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and certification in OSHA 30hr.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Attentive to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical ability to perform on-site monitoring and inspections.
