Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, P.C. (CBM), an accounting and business advisory firm that serves clients throughout Washington, DC, Baltimore and the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a Director of Practice Growth to help lead the charge in expanding our firm;

driving the marketing, business development and product management functions. Reporting directly to our President / Managing Partner, this role offers the chance to define our go-to-market strategy and help us make a real impact on those we serve.

Roles and responsibilities

The following are some of the key tasks the director of practice growth will assume :

Strategic Leadership. Own the firm's annual growth plan, from crafting a firm-wide strategy to guiding segment-specific marketing and sales initiatives.

You'll develop and execute strategic growth initiatives, collaborating closely with leadership to align efforts toward revenue targets.

Business Development Champion. Drive our sales process by coaching our professionals, enhancing our proposals and implementing a pipeline process that focuses on continual growth.

You'll need to build a dynamic, revenue-generating digital presence using martech and proven lead-capture strategies.

Innovation Strategist. You'll be at the forefront of product management, helping us evolve our offerings while walking us through the launch of new and / or improved services.

Oversee product lifecycle strategies, ensuring each service is positioned for maximum revenue growth.

Brand Builder. Take ownership of our brand presence in the marketplace, from web strategy to public relations, ensuring our story resonates with clients and prospects alike.

Spearhead content marketing, PR and social media initiatives to enhance visibility and brand awareness.

Team Player. Help us build a talented in-house marketing team you will oversee while building relationships with key internal and external resources to deliver exceptional results.

Collaborate with niche leaders to make them thought leaders in their respective fields, amplifying their impact.

Attributes that will help you in this role

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a marketing, business development support or growth role, ideally in a professional services environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
  • A "get it done" attitude with the ability to influence, motivate and lead across all levels of the firm.
  • The agility to change priorities with the market and to meet an evolving firm vision.
  • Expertise in driving growth through a combination of strategic thinking, creativity and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills that will help you collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues.
  • Solid writing skills used to create content across multiple formats, including informative, sales and persuasive writing.
