Lead the Museum's youth engagement strategy, overseeing on-site programming and fostering dynamic connections with local teens.
Drive recruitment, training, and support for youth volunteers, interns, and part-time staff. Partner with high schools and lead youth events like the High School Science Series to enrich teen involvement and co-create engaging content.
DIMENSIONS
- STEM Programming : Teach 1-2 days per week across all education channels.
- Staff Supervision : Mentor and supervise 1-2 full-time staff, up to 20 youth interns, and 8-14 teen part-time staff annually.
- Training Delivery : Develop and deliver 10 youth training sessions annually.
- High School Partnerships : Manage relationships and programming with 1-2 partner high schools.
- Event Management : Lead 4-6 High School Science Series events, plus 1-3 additional youth programs annually.
- Professional Development : Stay current with STEM content and informal education best practices.
- Work Schedule : Regular weekend, holiday, and evening work required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Science or Arts.
- Experience : 5+ years in STEM Education, Informal Education, or Volunteer Coordination.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven communication skills (verbal and written).
- Supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in science and technology education.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and events.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Experience mentoring high school students.
- STEM content knowledge.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive in various settings.
- English and Spanish proficiency.
