JOB MISSION :

As Space Planner you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and organizing the activities associated with facilities space planning within New Balance.

Ensuring space assignments and design plans follow New Balance standards and meet all ADA requirements and specifications.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Define and execute the planning of all physical office moves and reconfigurations.

Provide all aspects of system administration for the Facilities Space Utilization System including data gathering, entry, and verification of all building and occupancy information.

Maintain an automated furniture inventory system through Building Engine software.

Support processing of work order requests, conducting field conditions verifications, event layout drawings, and department floor space allocations.

Prepare all CAD drawings and interior concept design plans for assigned projects.

Ensure all drawings produced meet New Balance standards for occupancy utilization, furniture and fixture selection and ADA compliance regulations.

Maintain a unique workstation nomenclature to identify individual workstations along with assigned designee.

Develop and maintain relationships with furniture, fabric, and finish material flooring, wall covering, and signage) manufactures, dealers, and installers to keep up with the latest design trends and materials.

Maintain and archive product samples and materials to finish boards for all New Balance office locations.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS :

Minimum of associate degree in a design-related discipline and 2-4 years space planning experience in a corporate design environment.

Proficiency in AUTOCAD

Solid knowledge of ADA requirements

Proven verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills required

Attention to detail is a must

Ability to travel as needed.

Knowledge of LEED design principles a plus
