AV Project Manager Plano, TX
A regional AV company and leading Commercial AV integrator in the higher education space is looking for an experienced and dynamic AV Project Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the ongoing development and operational strategy of the Project Management Office.
- Produce project plans determining time frames, resource requirements, and procedures.
- Assist in contract reviews prior to signing.
- Proactively communicate project status and risks to internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.
- Determine and ensure appropriate project team staffing requirements.
- Solicit quotes from qualified subcontractors as required.
- Coordinate with Engineering to ensure AV spaces are properly scoped and configured.
- Coordinate activities with the general contractor, construction manager, and other trades as required.
- Provide training to clients as needed.
- Ensure materials are available and ready for each project.
- Handle project communications, including internal and external reporting, daily site reporting, and updates.
- Assist Technical Manager and Design Consultant as needed.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of product development and market needs.
- Handle sensitive client situations with appropriate respect.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and complete them in line with project procedures.
- Track costs, variations, and changes throughout the project.
- Report incidents, accidents, and near misses to management.
- Maintain health and safety policies throughout the project duration.
- Develop full-scale project plans and other communication documents.
- Work closely with clients, main contractors, and consultants to create clear project timelines and milestones.
- Motivate and support installation teams, and resolve issues and challenges.
- Take responsibility for various special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an AV Project Manager.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Passion for Audio Visual technology.
- Proven Project Management experience with strong AV expertise.
- Ability to read and understand floor plans and working drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial AV technology and products.
- Professional attitude and work ethic.
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, and AMX systems.
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to use AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work and respond quickly.
Requirements
Requirements : University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and / or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations.
Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager.
CTS-I Certification Preferred
