Schedule : Sunday to Thursday. 7 pm-3 : 30 am
Dispatchers at Gordon Food Service connect the drivers with their delivery schedules through collaboration with leadership, drivers, and routing analysts to ensure optimum service levels for our customers.
A typical day includes :
Collaborate with the national router, utilize a computerized routing system to schedule daily customer deliveries and ensure efficient routing schemes
Track, maintain, and adhere to DOT compliance "hours of service" through trip reports and mileage records
Field all phone calls, resolving any delivery problems
Maintains constant communication with drivers, customers and sales staff to ensure customers’ delivery needs are addressed
Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
Spreadsheet, word processing, email, internet, traffic routing and Hours of Service applications
Understanding of DOT regulations related to compliance and Hours of Service
Strong communication and organizational skills
