Salary :
Muza Sheet Metal Co. is looking for a dynamic Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our growing team! The primary responsibilities of the HR Coordinator are HR administration, site employee relations, and full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for new talent at Muza Sheet Metal Co.
This position will be working cross-functionally with many departments in the company including Operations, Project Management, and Estimating.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead the full cycle talent acquisition process for all hourly field positions, including screening, coordinating interviews, creating offer letters, etc.
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job history, and performance data.
- Support the talent acquisition process for office and salaried positions.
- Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required new hire paperwork (application, background checks, I-9, etc.
is completed for new hires.
- Plan and execute onsite & offsite job fairs as well as visit high schools, community events, and technical schools.
- Conduct investigations, discipline, and coaching / counseling as needed.
- Support and maintain employment branding initiatives through various social media channels.
- Maintain applicant tracking system, which includes requisition creation, posting positions, managing candidate activity, and maintaining tracking metrics.
- Communicate with managers to determine staffing needs, retention initiatives, and interviewing best practices.
- Manage the termination process which includes : exit process and addressing any confidentiality concerns. Fill out forms required by the Sheet Metal Workers Union when employees are hired or terminated.
- Oversee drug testing program including pre-employment & random testing.
- Assist employees and supervisors through challenging situations, including safety prevention and harassment training.
- Assist with payroll and timecards for employees as needed.
- Assist with greeting guests, answering phones, and general duties for Windsor office.
- Support the administration of Leave of Absence and Worker's Compensation claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to keep up with company needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Prior experience in HR administration and / or recruiting and retention, utilizing various sourcing methods including job boards, social media platforms, etc.
- Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
- Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance.
Ability to communicate well with all types of people external and internal consumers of services.
Exceptional project management skills including the ability to create action plans and achieve the timeline. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES :
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience in Construction or Manufacturing industry preferred.
- Excellent organizational, detail orientation, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- General knowledge in employment law, benefits, compensation, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, and recruitment preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
