Sapphire Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team and uphold our commitment to excellence. JOB SUMMARY :

The Payroll Manager at Sapphire Health Services is a corporate role, responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process for the organization's employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.

This position involves managing payroll systems, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, and collaborating with various departments to support overall financial and operational goals.

The Payroll Manager plays a critical role in managing employee compensation, handling payroll inquiries, and providing crucial data for financial planning and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of payroll for all employees, including regular, overtime, and special payments.
  • Ensure payroll is processed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax and labor laws.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary adjustments in the payroll system.
  • Maintain and update the payroll system, including employee records and payroll information.
  • Implement and manage payroll software, ensuring it meets the company's needs and complies with legal requirements.
  • Generate payroll reports, summaries, and analyses for management and auditing purposes.
  • Provide detailed payroll data and insights to support budgeting and financial planning.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, including overpayments, underpayments, and employee inquiries.
  • Investigate and respond to payroll-related issues, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external payroll audits.
  • Ensure all payroll processes are documented and up-to-date, following best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and support payroll staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about payroll processes and regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Paycom payroll software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws (OR, WA, ID).
  • Understanding of healthcare-specific payroll requirements, including compliance with specific regulations and collective bargaining agreements if applicable.
