About the role :

OLIVER is hiring a Benefits Partner to oversee all of the US and Canada benefit offerings and functions within the organization.

We are looking for someone with a rich knowledge of all different kinds of benefits who can help guide the organization to a place where we have one of the best offerings around.

You are a strong strategic thinker who enjoys working with benefits vendors as well as the employee population at OLIVER and its affiliates and should be eager to drive our benefits and rewards program to become even more competitive in the market and more compassionate for the employees.

What you will be doing :

Develop, implement, administer, and maintain employee benefit and reward programs (except 401k and RPP Plans), policies, and procedures.

Benefit Program consists of medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as Voluntary plans.

  • Submit all enrollment, qualifying events and termination data to our Broker.
  • Ensure programs meet employee needs while complying with legal requirements and remaining cost-effective.
  • Develop benefits communications and provides support to employees on benefits-related issues.
  • Evaluate current offering against competitors and the overall market to ensure we're an industry leader in benefits and rewards.
  • Manage the administration of employee leaves including parental leave and disability leaves.
  • Plan and manage the annual open enrollment with the support of the People team.
  • Lead any audits of benefit plans that may come through.
  • Manage vendor relationships with insurance carriers and other rewards providers (except 401k).
  • Enhance our wellness programs to maximize value to employees.
  • Administer compliance of plans.
  • Work with the People and Payroll teams to administer all employee benefit programs and benefit election deductions are communicated timely for payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Document and maintain internal processes for all benefits
  • Gather employee data to ensure processing of monthly billings are processed timely.
  • Manage employee benefits profiles and ensure database is accurate

What you need to be great in this role :

  • At least 5 years' experience working with benefits either on a People team or with an insurance broker.
  • A positive, customer-centric attitude that aims to solve benefit-related problems.
  • Hands-on experience with benefit plan designs and rewards programs.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with rigorous attention to detail, and comfort problem-solving in a rapidly-changing, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong at driving cross-functional collaboration across the People team and others.
  • Outstanding Excel skills that support analyzing multiple data sources, establishing metrics for success, and visualizing ROI.
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and integrity.
  • An experienced benefits expert with a vast knowledge of reward offerings.
  • You are articulate and clear when it comes to explaining benefits to employees.
  • You enjoy engaging with employees rather than sitting behind the scenes.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, establishing yourself as a safe pair of hands ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Capable of addressing challenges and working with vendors to resolve issues.
  • You manage expectations while simultaneously acting quickly to rectify any problems employees may experience.
  • You enjoy working on a strong team of HR professionals that lives by the company values and fosters the company culture.
  • You think on your feet and come up with outside-the-box solutions to issues that may arise.
  • You use data and metrics to influence strategic benefits decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits in the US.
  • Knowledge of Canadian benefits is a plus!
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $90,000 - $100,000 . Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.

This role will be performed hybrid with an on-site expectancy of 2 days per week in New York City.
