Job Details

Responsibilities :

• Assist in all aspects of litigation, including :
• Class, collective, and PAGA actions
• Single-plaintiff actions
• Evaluate claims
• Handle mediation processes
• Take depositions
• Engage in motion practice
• Prepare for and participate in arbitration and trial
• Involve in administrative charge work, including preparing position statements
• Depending on experience :
• Work with senior attorneys to counsel HR professionals and business executives on employment law compliance
• Provide strategic advice to avoid and resolve employment disputes

Qualifications :

• Active California State Bar membership
• 5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, including :
• Wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actions
• Substantial experience in employment litigation in California, specifically in :
• Discrimination
• Harassment
• Retaliation
• Leave interference claims
• Preferably representing management)
• Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state or local agencies
• Experience drafting employment policies (preferred)
• Experience counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (preferred)
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously to meet client demands
• Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
