The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC-MN) is currently in search of a dedicated Staffing Scheduler to join our team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for a well-organized and visionary professional who is passionate about their work, values diversity, and strives for excellence in all they do.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in staff scheduling, preferably in veterinary or human healthcare, handling multiple departments, and managing schedules, time-off requests, and rotations for a team of over 400 individuals.

Role Title : Staff Scheduler
Department : Operations
Shift : Day Shift (8 a.m. - 4 p.m. or similar)
Schedule : Monday - Friday. Nights and weekends occasionally to meet deadlines.
Compensation : Hourly, dependent on skills, education, credentials, and other factors.

As a Staff Scheduler at AERC, you will be responsible for maintaining the schedule for selected teams to ensure that all clinic locations are adequately staffed every shift.
You will be identifying areas for improvement in scheduling functions and ensuring team members' satisfaction with their schedules.
Qualifications :
Education and Background
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Minimum two years prior staff scheduling experience.
- People management experience preferred.
- Process management experience preferred.

- You will maintain the master schedules, address and resolve long-term trends in caseload across six key departments, and over 200 support staff team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enforce scheduling prioritization rules, processes, and tools to manage staffing needs at all clinic locations and on-call schedules.
- Establish cross-functional collaborative partnerships with all levels of leadership to create schedules and plans that allocate available team members to best serve our clinic, patient, and client needs.
- Create and develop reports that verify work hours to scheduled hours, monitor employee attendance and overtime, track key data points to determine patterns in heavy caseloads, and schedule solutions to balance the patient-to-support team ratios.

- This is a non-animal handling role. Although you will not physically handle patients often, you will work closely alongside them while focusing on providing the best care and support to patients, clients, and the referring community.
