About the Team

Workday is looking for a self-motivated professional with multifaceted, hands-on functional QA testing experience.

You will join a dedicated Quality Assurance team to test an innovative Time Tracking product with outstanding functionality such as Time Reporting, Approvals, Time Calculation, Employee / Manager Self Service, and Mobile Time Tracking.

Quality Assurance Engineers collaborate beyond specialist areas to verify that functionality works seamlessly across Workday products.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.

They debug software products through the use of systematic tests to apply and maintain quality standards for Workday's products.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will also ensure that system tests are successfully completed, documented and resolved.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and testware for capabilities of our Time Tracking product.
  • Implement testware during formal test periods for every Workday Update.
  • Assist in determining our test methodology and test data setup.
  • Diagnose problems and report bugs and improvements to Development.
  • Interact effectively with all stakeholders, including peers, Product Management and development.
  • Provide regular status against your and team’s test plans.
  • Build regression and acceptance test scenarios for above mentioned product.

About You

The ideal person for this position has a strong background in Time and Attendance working with sophisticated time tracking rules.

Candidates are expected to plan, design, and review test specifications and ensure full coverage based on functional specifications and requirements documents.

This individual will be a primary contributor to the test effort for our Workday Enterprise Business Services offerings and, therefore, should be proficient in the QA of Enterprise Applications.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or business analysis working in automated and manual testing techniques / approaches.
  • A college degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

Other Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with REST API, Web Service, Workday HCM, Workday Report Writer, Workday Business Process.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development.
  • Attitude and aptitude to be successful in a growing and rapidly changing company, working on a brand-new product.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Functional knowledge in Time & Attendance, preferably US and Global working with sophisticated rules.
  • Experience with delivering high quality software products within a full development lifecycle.
  • High degree of attention to detail, with an eagerness for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Hard-working and confident with the ability to work with different teams.
  • Experience with end to end testing - Testing Planning, Test Execution, UAT, Regression.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.

Primary Location Base Pay Range : $95,200 - $142,800

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range : $90,400 - $176,500
