Logistics Coordinator
The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Logistics Coordinator position at our Jefferson, GA location.
The Logistics Coordinator duties will be directly related to ensuring workload is available, generated and distributed to the floor daily for all DC and warehouse operational functions.
Ensures work aligns with established goals and processes.

Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States.
Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Position Responsibilities
- Ability to do wave planning (short interval scheduling), tasking functions, order creation
- Plan schedules and deadlines to include taking actions to ensure deadlines are met
- Provide customer service with LTL carriers we use daily
- Ensure daily work load is available and administered to the DC floor for completion
- Process LTL, FTL, and pool distribution paperwork error free
- RMA shipping & receiving processing
- Process vendor returns
- Create reports, pivot tables, and charts and import / export data
- Alert DC management when defined metrics are not being met
- ISL order creation, shipping, receiving within ISL as well
- Foresight to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues
- Work with Order Services and the Transportation dept. on customer service needs
- Train the Logistics clerks as needed
- Write work instruction documents with accompanying flow charts
- Act as back up for transportation clerk if necessary
- Perform all tasking functions with includes anchoring loads in the correct zone
- Download and organize outbound load pictures
- Overall understanding of all DC functions
- Must be knowledgeable in the use of PKMS and MAPICS
- Perform additional projects / duties to support ongoing business needs

- Takes direction from Supervisor and Operations Managers
- Train and provide guidance to clerks
- MAPICS X-Menu, IM & MPSP access
- Power Link access for ITW PO receipts
- Mapics issue & receipt capabilities for SWC & SWG Warehouse
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to learn PKMS
- Higher MAPICS functionality
- Power Link access & knowledge
- ISL system access and functional knowledge
- Advanced MS office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) & VISIO flow charting
- MS Excel skills include creation of pivot tables, charts and import / export data
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work
- Dependable and work well in a team environment
- Ability to plan schedules and deadlines, and take actions with following the schedules
- Ability to interact effectively with management, staff and customers
- Excellent written / verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to deal with reprioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities / requests
- Foresight to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues
- Ability to listen instructions and execute tasks accordingly
Experience
- 3 plus years of office support and / or customer service experience preferred
- 3-5 years working in a large Distribution Control-Logistics environment
- WMS experience preferred
Education
High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to lift boxes and / or equipment of up to 25 pounds
