Summary
The responsibility of the Dining Services Manager is to plan, direct and coordinate activities of the Dining Services Department to ensure provision of dietetic services to patients, facility personnel and guests.
Job Qualifications
- Meets the educational requirements established by the Dietary Managers Association and maintains status as CDM, CFPP
- Registered Dietitian preferred
- Three to five years of Food Service Management in a health care facility including major catering assignments
- Previous work experience in Clinical Dietetics highly recommended
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with medical personnel, staff, patients and visitors
- Numerical and clerical ability
- Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, honesty and assertiveness
- Ability to prioritize completion of a wide range of responsibilities with frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain consistent productivity despite fluctuating workload and numerous interruptions
- Lifting, standing, waling, and sitting for long periods of time required
- Will work in a variety of settings
- May be exposed to chemicals in cleaning products which are utilized in the Dining Services department
