Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Platform Engineering (Remote) to join our team! In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team focused on scalability, efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Lead and empower a team of SREs in building, maintaining, and monitoring Workiva's mission-critical cloud platform
- Partner with product engineering teams to design and implement highly reliable, scalable, and efficient cloud-based microservices
- Champion Site Reliability Engineering best practices within Workiva
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure platform availability, performance, and resilience
- Manage incident responses and post-mortem processes to ensure learnings are captured and implemented
- Oversee the development of automation tools to improve system reliability and organizational efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align SRE goals with business objectives
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or related career experience)
- 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams
What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
- 5+ years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or as an engineer building production systems at scale
- Experience working with and leading a consultative engineering team
- Experience crafting and implementing architecture and / or system design standards across an engineering organization
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
- Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
- Proven track record of managing large-scale cloud infrastructures and distributed systems
- Strong technical background in cloud-based architectures and systems, including containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence skills
- Travel Requirements & Working Conditions : 25% travel for team jams and internal meetings; Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Parsons office.

Salary Range : $117,000.00 - $210,600.00
