Role description : IT SAP Technical Manager (Development / Security)

Location : Chicago.

Purpose of the Role :

The SAP Technical Manager will lead an SAP Security and ABAP development team managing resource planning and prioritization of workload.

The SAP Technical Manager will lead and perform SAP security configurations and role design, SAP GRC support and improvements, annual SOX audit governance, risk analysis reporting and remediation activities.

In addition, this role will establish and maintain programming standards and manage the SAP development team (including SAP cloud technologies) and maintain prioritization and resource planning for project, enhancement, and support workload.

The preferred candidate will have experience in SAP Security with SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Access Control (AC) and Process Control (PC) domains, along with SAP security models.

In addition, the candidate should have experience with multiple SAP end-to-end implementations, and operational support experience in SAP IDM and other security components.

Key Responsibilities.

• Responsible for Sap Security and ABAP Development resource planning, allocation, and prioritization. As well as ensuring proper governance across both team areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for crafting, developing and supporting security solutions using SAP security with tools such as GRC / ERPM and SAP IDM across multiple SAP components such as ECC, SuccessFactors, S4 / HANA, BI / BPC, and Business Technology Platform.
• Designs, configures, and supports the GRC Tool Access Control landscape including the implementation and maintenance of Access Control, Process Control, and Risk Management modules.
• Identifies gaps in existing SAP security configurations and documentation, and designs / implements remediation activities.
• Facilitates or supports scheduled User Access Reviews and remediation activities within GRC tool workflows and connected systems.
• Supports Emergency Access Management / Hypercare and / or service outage access requests, workflows, and related reviews across multiple platforms.
• Participates in SAP related projects and implementations with the business and SAP functional teams supporting all ABAP solutions, security role design, configuration, and testing requirements.
• Provides guidance in the definition of solution design practices and standards that link back to SAP best practices.
• Works with overall Information Security and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure security design meets Ardagh security standards.

Develops enhanced Ardagh SAP security standards as required.

Other responsibilities :

• Allocates and supervises technical resources into various project initiatives
• Leads the Sap Security and Development domain activities
• Collaborates closely with applications management team and provide ongoing status reports.
• Supports the other delivery functions with technical expertise.
• Manages resources directly responsible for the SAP Security area
• Manages resources directly responsible for the ABAP development area

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a computer science or related field.
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of overall SAP Security experience required, with a minimum 5 years hands on experience in secure SAP systems analysis and design, and technical / functional solutions delivery (supporting configuration and custom development).
• Attainment of the SAP Certified Technology Professional - Systems Security Architect certification is preferred.
• Expertise with GRC and Compliance
• Expertise in SAP security best practices is essential.
• Experience with SAP ECC, S / 4HANA, and SAP BTP is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of SAP security architecture and role-based authorization models for relevant SAP systems (ECC, BW, APO, TMS, S4 / HANA, etc.) is required.
• Solid understanding in SAP Security tables is required, and the ability to efficiently and accurately, identify Authorization errors using SUIM, SU53 and ST01, etc.
• to provide consultative support to the Business.
• Solid understanding in SAP development methodologies including strong troubleshooting and issue resolutions skills is highly preferred.
• SAP ADM900, ADM940, ADM950, ADM960, GRC100 and HA240 course completion is preferred if the candidate does not currently hold SAP security certification

• Proven leadership in managing, governing and providing oversight of internal teams, 3rd party integrators, consultants and vendors through various initiatives.
