Job Discription :
The Snowflake Migration Data Architect for leading the migration of databases to the Snowflake platform. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data migration strategies to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
Key responsibilities :
- Migration Planning : Develop comprehensive migration plans tailored to customer needs, ensuring a smooth transition from on-premises database environments to Snowflake
- Technical Leadership : Act as the technical expert for all aspects of Snowflake during implementation, guiding customers through the migration process
- Data Architecture : Design and optimize Snowflake's logical, conceptual, and physical data models
- Performance Tuning : Implement performance tuning and database optimization techniques to ensure efficient data processing.
- Collaboration : Work closely with customers, system integrators, and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Documentation : Create detailed documentation and presentations to share learnings and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement : Collaborate with all stakeholders & lead the migration solution
Qualifications :
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in data management solutions, with hands-on experience in migrating databases
- Proficiency in SQL, Unix Shell / Python scripting, and performance tuning
- Experience with AWS / Azure and Snowflake's features like RBAC controls, scalable virtual warehouses, and cost optimization.
- Experience designing and building automated monitoring processes and data pipelines. ensures that data can be moved and processed efficiently
- Experience developing stored procedures and writing queries to analyze and transform data.
Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000-$135,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
