The portfolio manager will work with other members of the portfolio management team to refine and develop the portfolio management process for the direct indexing strategies offered by Natixis Investment Managers Solutions.
The portfolio manager will assist in the construction and management of index-based portfolios for high net worth and institutional clients.
A primary focus for the portfolio manager will be to invest new accounts, make investment decisions, evaluate investment performance, and assist in the development of new strategies and marketing materials.
The portfolio manager will be a member of the direct indexing investment committee. This is a hybrid position located in San Francisco, CA or Boston, MA.
What you’ll do :
- Use proprietary and third party systems and tools to manage new and existing client accounts, loss harvest, and rebalance accounts.
- Identify and suggest enhancements to proposal and portfolio management tools. Assist in testing of programming changes before deployment.
- Serve as an active participant on the investment committee.
- Work with client relationship managers to run proposals for more sophisticated situations.
- Assist in performance monitoring for individual accounts and composites and evaluate composite performance using tools such as Factset, Axioma, etc.
- Support other portfolio management staff in product development projects.
- Contribute to the development and review of marketing materials and generation of content such as white papers and writing composite commentary.
- Participate in the education and sales process for clients, financial advisors, and prospects. Educate internal staff on NIM Solutions direct indexing strategies and process.
- Work with traders, operations, and client service to resolve portfolio management issues and enhance processes and systems.
What you’ll bring :
Undergraduate degree required, preferably with a quantitative focus such as math, statistics, econometrics, operations research, physics, financial engineering, etc.
Graduate degree in a quantitative field and / or CFA is also desirable.
- Proven knowledge of quantitative investment management, particularly related to index portfolio management, highly desirable.
- 5+ years experience applying quantitative skills in financial services applications.
- Experience working with multi-factor risk models and optimization programs (e.g. Axioma, BARRA, Northfield), Factset, or other financial tools highly desirable.
- Strong Excel and technology skills. Familiarity with programming desirable.
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exemplary client service with a consultative approach.
- Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills.
