Kinsa is recruiting for a : Bakery General Manager Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Location : Oxnard, California
POSITION PURPOSE :
Our client (privately owned family business) is a leading manufacturer of French macarons and high-end gluten free pastries that are distributed nationwide.
Their production facility is based in the Oxnard, CA area. They are looking for a General Manager with strong sales and marketing background to help them continue growing their family business.
The GM will be the lead person on business development projects, both externally through sales and marketing efforts and internally through team building and company culture development.
The GM will report directly to the owners of the company and will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and the VP.
MUST HAVE :
Successful candidate Must have a sales and business development strategy background that will align with production capacity.
Compensation / Benefits :
- $150,000 $160,000 compensation range
- Company profit sharing

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead business development project, including sales and marketing efforts, digital transition, new distribution channels opening, and new products development.
- Manage the sales & Marketing team (2 employees), including being the point of contact for key accounts.
- Manage the Administrative staff (1 employee + external consultants)
- Facilitate development of company culture (company events, incentive program, etc.)
- Communicate with owners about visions and strategies for the future of the company.
- Align sales and marketing strategy to production capacity.
- Monitor financial health of the company and work toward meeting financial goals.
- Analyze and mitigate legal risks (product liability, employee dispute, insurances, etc.)
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
- 5+ years in General Management role within the food industry.
- Proficient with Sales & Marketing management.
- Proficient with Business Administration.
