Our Client is a dynamic and growing agriculture company committed to excellence in all aspects of their operations. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to assist the team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of their organization while utilizing your expertise in managing multi-state payroll, certified payroll, and ensuring accurate and timely compensation for their 150+ employees.

Responsibilities :

Process multi-state weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Handle certified payroll requirements, including preparation and submission of certified payroll reports as per project specifications.

Perform reconciliations of payroll-related accounts, including but not limited to tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions.

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, resolving issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

Stay updated on relevant changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.

Experience with certified payroll processes and reporting.

Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
