The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for monitoring accounts receivable balances, identifying high risk accounts and developing collections strategy on outstanding customer balances.
In addition, the collections analyst will provide weekly AR reporting, updating KPIs and driving initiatives to prevent aged balances.
What you'll be doing :
- Monitor customer AR accounts to identify outstanding balances and identify unresolved items.
- Investigate and understand the history behind aged balances.
- Contact customers with outstanding balances by telephone, email, or other electronic means to negotiate debt recovery.
- Take actions to encourage timely customer payments by collaborating on collections strategies with other teams.
- Perform weekly collections analysis to capture AR balances, payments received, and identify risky accounts.
- Assist with internal and external customer inquiries such as providing payment status, pulling invoice copies, updating info (email address, purchase orders, bill to addresses, etc).
- Customer portal management - assist with new customer forms / portal set up for new customers.
- Work with legal team to draft legal letters on unresponsive accounts.
- Perform payment applications daily in NetSuite and apply payments relating to IROF in the Later platform if applicable.
- Review and document customer credit history to identify risks. Work with legal team to document high risk customers.
- Research, document, and implement a credit agency process.
- Update monthly accounts receivable key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve these key performance indicators.
- Maintain and update internal accounts receivable processes and policies.
- Responsible for calculation of bad debt allowance and its reduction.
- Assist in any other ad hoc project / task as assigned by management.

- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Collections and AR analyst role
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment establishing priorities and managing multiple tasks and demands.
- Driven individual who is eager to learn but can work independently.
- Analytical and problem solver.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills as this individual will work with both internal and external customers.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Business or related field preferred.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE base + commission / variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
