JOBDESCRIPTION :

• Ourclient is a leading provider of specialized engineering services inthe structural mechanical industrial and welding fields in MissouriandIllinois.
• Ourprofessionals are technical experts in structural engineeringdesign process safety management (PSM) welding inspection civilspecial inspections and nondestructive testing(NDT).
• Weare seeking an experienced inspector (3 years) for an opportunityto inspect and test new and existing pressure vessels storage tanksprocess piping and structural steelprojects.
• Thisposition is fulltime with competitive pay medical insurance and401Kbenefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Yourduties will include but are not limitedto :
• Conductingvisual inspections and PSM (API 653 570 and 510)evaluations.
• Conductingfabrication shop and field inspections of welded and boltedstructuralsteel.
• PerformingMT PT UTT UTS Phased Array UT MFE Vacuum Box testingtechniques.
• Loadtesting components using portable hydraulic systems and calibratedloadcells.
• Writingtechnical reports & completing Code calculations forinspectionsperformed.
• Projectmanagement duties for PSM and structural relatedprojects.
• Maintainingpositive relationships with clients and promoting SID to newclientele.
• Yourhome office can be in Chesterfield MO or in Collinsville IL. Expect70% field work (inside outdoors and confined space) and 30% officework.

Some assignments may require overnight stay where per diemand mileage will be paid bySID.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Candidatesshould have all or some of the followingqualifications :
• 3years inspection experience in vessel tank piping and / or structuralsteelindustry.
• CurrentAPI 510 653 and / or 570 certification or able to pass the examwithin 6months.
• NDTcertifications or qualifiable to NDT Level 11 in UT MT PT &MFE.
• AWSCertified Welding Inspectorcertification.
• Workingknowledge of industry standard codes CAWS API ASME NACEANSI).
• Goodcomputer skills (Word Excel and AutoCADproficiency).
• Yourdirect supervisor will be an API CertifiedProfessional Engineerholding ASNT NDT Level Ill certification (UT MT & PT).

Mr.Fults can train candidates and certify qualified NDTinspectors.

MustHaves :

• Experience : 3 years in inspection (pressure vessels storage tanks piping orstructuralsteel).
• Certifications : Current or potential API certifications () and AWS CertifiedWelding Inspectorcertification.
• NDTCertifications : NDT Level II (UT MT PT MFE) or ability toqualify.
• TestingMethods : Proficiency in a variety of inspection techniques like MT PT UTTUTS Phased Array UT andMFE.
• FieldWork : Ability to perform 70% of work in the field including confinedspace and outdoorenvironments.

• ProjectManagement : Experience managing PSM and structuralrelatedprojects.
• AdvancedCertifications : Any additional NDT or industryrelatedcertifications.

• Therole includes a balance of 70% field work and 30% office work. Theinspector may be required to travel with per diem and mileage paidfor overnightstays.

• Therole reports to an API Certified Professional Engineer who canprovide training and certification for qualified NDTinspectors.
