- Special Inspections& Design (SID) is a leading provider of specialized engineeringservices in the structural mechanical industrial and welding fieldsin Missouri and Illinois.
- Our professionals aretechnical experts in structural engineering design process safetymanagement (PSM) welding inspection civil special inspections andnondestructive testing (NDT).
- We are seeking anexperienced inspector (3 years) for an opportunity to inspect andtest new and existing pressure vessels storage tanks process pipingand structural steel projects.
- This position isfulltime with competitive pay medical insurance and 401Kbenefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Yourduties will include but are not limitedto :
- Conducting visualinspections and PSM (API 653 570 and 510)evaluations.
- Conducting fabrication shop andfield inspections of welded and bolted structuralsteel.
- Performing MT PT UTT UTS Phased Array UTMFE Vacuum Box testing techniques.
- Load testingcomponents using portable hydraulic systems and calibrated loadcells.
- Writing technical reports &completing Code calculations for inspectionsperformed.
- Project management duties for PSMand structural related projects.
- Maintainingpositive relationships with clients and promoting SID to newclientele.
- Your home office can be inChesterfield MO or in Collinsville IL. Expect 70% field work(inside outdoors and confined space) and 30% office work.
Someignments may require overnight stay where per diem and mileage willbe paid by SID.
Required Knowledge Ssand Abilities : (Hiring Companies ATSQuestions) :
1. Do you have 3 years inspectionexperience in vessel tank piping and / or structural steelindustry.
2. Do you have Current API 510 653and / or 570 certification or able to p the exam within 6months.
3. Do you have NDT certifications orqualifiable to NDT Level 11 in UT MT PT &MFE.
4.Do you have AWS Certified WeldingInspector certification.
5. Do you have Workingknowledge of industry standard codes CAWS API ASME NACEANSI).
6. Do you have good computer ss (WordExcel and AutoCAD proficiency).
7. Must be a USCitizen or Green Card holder
