We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant , located in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records and processing journal entries and general ledger tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately process and record various financial transactions
- Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments
- Oversee the creation of precise and compliant financial documents such as balance sheets, tax returns, and financial reports
- Analyze the company's financial performance and make long term forecasts
- Ensure financial reporting adheres to organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop strategies to improve or maintain the financial health and integrity of the organization
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
- Proven experience with Journal Entries and General Ledger
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills
