Job Summary
Hey there, future Director of Field Marketing! If you're ready to help ensure every kid leaves the cafeteria happier and healthier, we want you on our team.
As the Director of Field Marketing at Chartwells, your mission is to bring a dash of fun and excitement to our programs and services.
From sprucing up the cafeteria environment to developing new student engagement programs, you'll be the magician behind the scenes.
Your role involves detailing and refining marketing standards, crafting solutions to improve student and operator experiences, and driving participation in school meal programs.
We're on the lookout for someone with excellent communication skills, critical thinking vibes, and a heart that beats for service.
This role is located in the Mid Atlantic Region - Ideally near New York City / New Jersey or Philadelphia.
The ask :
- Build marketing programs in partnership with Operators, support teams and VP of Marketing to ensure continued engagement from students, clients and communities.
- Though you won't be managing a team directly, your influence will be felt far and wide. Show off your influencing skills and make a difference through others who may not report directly to you.
- Be the go-to person for training and supporting operators and on-site Marketing Specialists. Help them implement student-facing and front-of-house programs that make every day in the cafeteria exciting.
- Make sure our operators have the tools and know-how to keep our programs running efficiently.
- Let your creativity flow as you develop and maintain marketing & merchandising tools, including diagrams and pictures.
- Conduct marketing audits to ensure our front-of-house operations are outstanding. Partner with operators to keep the good times rolling.
- Build implementation tools, materials, modules, and procedures. These will be your secret weapons for training and developing our outstanding team members.
- Team up with Culinary and Nutrition teams to cook up some amazing programs. It's about bringing people together for a delicious and nutritious experience.
- Collaborate with other partners to make sure our business strategy is a slam dunk.
- Dive into focus groups and surveys to uncover key market insights and keep our marketing strategy ahead of the curve.
- Work closely with our strategic accounts, addressing their needs and turning risks into opportunities.
- Collect data and report on return on investment and key performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 7+ years experience in marketing and / or training, preferably in foodservice, or in operations / culinary roles with demonstrated ability to market programs, merchandise, and build outstanding customer experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience in multi-unit foodservice or hospitality management in lieu of degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills!
- You should be adept at addressing large groups, whether it's in person or virtual.
- Ability to Set priorities and stay organized in a changing environment.
- Project management skills are gold. If you can steer implementation and bring about positive outcomes through teamwork, you're our hero.
- Demonstrated ability to lead implementation and produce positive outcomes by working through teams.
- Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms and especially PowerPoint.
- Extensive travel (50%)
