Overv"ew of the Senior Accountant Role :
As a Senior Accountant , you will be responsible for :
- Preparing and posting journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and cash transactions.
- Assisted with budget variances and provided financial insights.
- Reviewing and analyzing general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets for accurate financial reporting.
- Assisting in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Preparing monthly pay applications / billing and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Supporting both internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant :
- Bachelor's in Accounting.
- Three years of public accounting experience or six years of general ledger accounting experience.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Job costing and construction accounting experience are preferred.
