Job Overview : A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leveraged finance, asset-based lending, and private placements and be able to manage client relationships effectively.
Job Duties :
- Counsel lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in leveraged finance transactions.
- Handle asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche, first lien / second lien, and mezzanine financings.
- Work on both leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including credit, security, and inter-creditor agreements.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and prepare related reports.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia State Bar or ability to waive into the bar.
- 3-5 years of experience in leveraged finance transactions at a reputable law firm.
- Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Certifications (Preferred) :
Certification in Financial Services or Banking Law (e.g., Certified Financial Services Counselor (CFSC)).
Skills :
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
