Job Description
What you will bedoing :
- Participate in a 1214 monthscomprehensive warehouse operations program across differentdepartments in MSI.
- Learn responsibilities inInbound Picking Packing Outbound Transportation and supportingdepartments.
- Lead process improvement projectsand collaborate with department supervisors andmanagers.
- Ensure all functions are properlystaffed to manage varied work volume during the rotationprogram.
- Maintain and manage safety andquality standards and processes.
- Work closelywith Leads and Team Members to ensure timely completion ofprojects.
- Manage daily weekly and monthlysafety quality and productivity reporting.
- Supervise realignment activities for maximum facilityoptimization.
- Provide leadership training andsupervision to approximately 20 team members whenapplicable.
- Continuously develop leadershipcapabilities and promote professional growth of theteam.
- Oversee facility and equipmentmaintenance and supplies when applicable.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safetycompliance.
- Conduct research root causeanalysis communicate findings and recommend solutions to improvewarehouse inventory health.
- Manage operationalactivities to support distribution center layout and continuousimprovement goals.
Experience youwill need :
- Bachelors Degree withemphasis on Supply Chain or Operations Managementpreferred.
- High School Education or equivalentrequired.
- 2 years of specific relevant workexperience in a leadership role.
- 2 years ofsupervisory / management experience required.
- Supervised at least 10 team members highlydesired.
- 2 years of Distribution CenterOperations / Project management experience required.
- Lean Manufacturing principles knowledge would be aplus.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS OfficeSuite Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Relatedindustry experience in natural stone tile or hard flooringindustries preferred.
- Ability to adapt quicklyto changing business needs.
- Strong knowledgeand understanding of Distribution and Warehouse Managementapplications and project management.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerialabilities.
- Excellent oral and written Englishcommunication skills.
- Good organizationalskills.
- Goaloriented with a proven record ofselfmotivation and achievement.
- Proactive withstrong analytical skills.
- Creative in seekingquality solutions and process improvements.
- Excellent people management and time managementskills.
