We are currently looking for an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team. This position involves the operation of a machine that spreads and levels hot mix asphalt on highways and streets by performing the following duties.

Perform preshift inspection of machinery per Company Guidelines and manufacturers specifications.

Comply with operating safety rules and regulations.

Fill in daily inspection reports.

Coordinate with the mechanic to report any problem with the operation of the assigned equipment.

May oil grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.

When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.

Requirements

Heres What Youll Need :

Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.

Knowledge of asphalt paving best practices.

Knowledge of compaction testing and temperature requirements

Must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with coworkers and the public.

The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and / or weekend work as well as overnights.

Be punctual and dependable be capable of lifting 50 pounds and work in the sun most of the day.

A valid driver s license and a valid hoisting license.

High school diploma / equivalent.

Key Job Responsibilities : Work in an environment in compliance with all Brox safety policies and procedures Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA Communicate safety and equipment information to Plant Manager Participate in toolbox talks with co-workers and supervisors Display a professional and courteous attitude to customers, drivers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public Acceptance of other responsibilities and duties as necessary Qualifications : High school graduate or equivalent and valid driver s license.

Experience preferred but willing to train. Work Environment : Outdoor-in and out of vehicle. High elevations & confined spaces.
