What you will do :

  • Constructs a system of governance which actualizes the organization’s strategic vision, mission, and values in collaboration with provider and health system leadership in order to achieve organizational goals and to ensure highly satisfied stakeholders.
  • Promotes organizational and individual success through ongoing support, encouragement, empowerment and effective teamwork to enhance staff loyalty and productivity.
  • Formulates an effective strategic plan in collaboration with management team and health system leadership by analyzing the environment and gaining stakeholder consensus on the organization’s direction in order to maximize the organization’s success.
  • Examines the possibilities for growth by identifying opportunities for partnerships and strategic alliances to enhance market position and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversees operations by working collaboratively with operations management and providers. Develops and coaches improved management techniques and practices.
  • Oversees clinical and business staff in the development of policies, procedures, programs, protocols and systems, to provide an efficiently run organization and quality patient outcomes.
  • Oversight and maintenance of the customer relations program by engagement with patient experience feedback and recommending improved procedures to meet or exceed the appropriate expectations of patients, staff and outside stakeholders.
  • Directs efforts to ensure effective quality and performance improvement implementation throughout the group. Provides leadership to drive work for clinical improvement, service enhancement and patient engagement with particular emphasis on creating overall culture change.
  • Lead the quality department to develop and implement programs, initiatives, and improvement strategies to ensure consistency in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other governmental requirements.

Ensures that required state / federal reporting is completed in a timely manner.

  • Works in partnership with Human Resources to ensure recruitment of qualified professional personnel, adequate staffing levels and placement, completion of all employee reports, records, and evaluations and counseling professional staff to ensure quality of work and adherence to system policies.
  • Serves as the primary representative and leader of Firelands Physician Group in all professional and public forums which includes delivery of presentations, public speaking and leading multiple committees.
  • Collaborates with marketing to inform the public of the value of the health care provided by creating effective public relations programs to differentiate and promote the organization.
  • Oversees ongoing information needs for the organization and collaborates with Information System leadership to improve business performance, provider and staff satisfaction, patient experience and progress innovation with healthcare technology.
  • Oversight of the provider and practice onboarding process in collaboration with operations management to promote provider engagement and ensure adoption of standardized systems and procedures.
  • Collaborates and participates in the provider recruitment process to help support the needs of the community, system and appropriate provider succession planning.
  • Participates in provider contracting and compensation analysis, review and development in conjunction with President of FPG, CFO and legal counsel.
  • Meets with providers to review financial, production performance and operational reports.
  • Proactively works to operate organization within budget through appropriate cost containment and support of revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the finance department to ensure appropriate financial reporting, budgeting and analyses as it relates to achieving organizational objectives, financial health of the system and enhancing stakeholder strategic planning.
  • Participates interdepartmentally to improve payer contracts terms in order to maximize reimbursement and advance payment methodologies.
  • Exercises due diligence throughout contract development, negotiations, and compliance by reviewing, analyzing, and consulting appropriate resources in collaboration with legal resources in order to diminish risk and operate organization according to legal structure.
  • Demonstrates competence in leadership, communication, professionalism, organizational and analytical skills, and technical / professional skills and knowledge in performance of duties and responsibilities rendered to the customer population served.
  • Develop and maintain of effective relationship with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
  • Assists in planning (strategic and short-term) and organizing.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence and ACE.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

What you will need :

  • Bachelor’s degree required in an applicable business or clinical field. Master’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of management experience in which leadership and administrative competence has been demonstrated in an ambulatory setting.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to integrate priorities and deadlines and to avoid crises management.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Skill in analysis and interpretation of data, and preparation of reports.

Skill in analyzing operational problems accurately and taking effective action.

  • Excellent leadership abilities. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Experience with budget and business plan development. Performs responsible fiscal management within budget guidelines.
  • Human resource management techniques sufficient to advise physicians and clinic staff.
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment.

Ability to comply with provisions of applicable SDS forms.
