Will support a portfolio that could include Staples Business Essentials and Facilities Products

This is not a technical / IT Product Management role.

The Product Development Project Management team turns concepts and ideas for products into reality. They utilize expertise in project management, communication, risk mitigation, resource and timeline management to lead a cross-functional team through the development and launch phases of new product development projects, specification change project, resourcing projects, and repackaging projects.

They are accountable for delivering the product & project requirements on time while meeting our cost and quality targets.

Simply put, they are our in-house project management experts related to our Own Brand products.

The PDPM Specialist begins to own owns the development of the project timeline and the management of projects with a cross functional business team through the development and launch phases of new product development projects, specification change project, resourcing projects, and repackaging projects.

With oversight, they focus on becoming experts on project management, timeline development, the product development process, communication, and risk mitigation.

Key Job Responsibilities :

With minimal guidance, manage product development projects, responsible for the creation of the project timeline, all communication, time management, and risk mitigation related to the project

Ensure delivery of products that meet timing, cost, and quality targets, which will ensure the products exceed customer expectations

With minimal guidance, lead cross-functional meetings including Product Engineering, Sourcing, Product Management, Merchandising, Inventory, Logistics, and Quality

Responsible for process adherence and product lifecycle management system compliance

Skills :

Minimum 2-4 years of experience effectively managing projects in product development, sourcing, or manufacturing disciplines in cross-functional environments

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools a plus

Self-motivated, fast learner who works well in a fast paced, changing environment.

Highly customer-focused

Highly effective communication skills both written and oral

Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to successfully interface with partners on various teams, internal and external, as well as domestic and international

Ability to quickly adapt to change and competing priorities

Creative mind that looks for innovative ways to solve problems and improve processes

Strong aptitude to collaborate and build relationships
