The Strategy and Research Associate provides leadership in day-to-day activities by providing market intelligence and analysis to support our commercial real estate investments and strategic decision-making processes.
The Associate plays a critical role in developing new frameworks to facilitate strategic and investment decisions, including market research, financial analysis, data modelling, and technical support in valuing assets and evaluating asset and portfolio returns, performing in-depth market research, and running portfolio optimization analytics.
Associates work independently, manage multiple projects supporting all aspects of the investment process, utilizing a range of skills.
Associates interact with professionals across multiple functions, including the Transactions, Asset Management, Land, and Finance teams, and will also work with global teams related to third-party advisory work and private REIT sponsors.
- Support CIO in strategic development and investment planning by analyzing global trends and collaborating on risk assessment.
- Collaborate with key individuals throughout the organization in support of their investment activities.
- Identify new paradigms for investment strategy and research.
- Perform portfolio-level analytics to optimize performance and set investment guidelines.
- Utilize statistical analysis techniques to analyze key investment themes.
- Conduct research and analysis on commercial real estate market trends.
- Monitor macroeconomic indicators and commercial real estate industry developments.
- Prepare market reports specific to new investment opportunities.
- Draft reports, memoranda, and presentations, presenting findings at private REIT committee and investment committee meetings.
- Create and maintain a library of presentation materials for senior management.
- Manage all aspects of the various data subscriptions.
- Perform other essential duties as assigned.
- Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
- Minimum 2 years experience in commercial real estate research.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (., CFA) is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and execute a wide range of assignments to meet numerous deadlines, often working independently.
