Job Summary
We are currently hiring for a Sales Associate for our Superior Spa, Hearth and Leisure division located in Avon. We are a growing, reputable, and locally-owned company with lots of opportunity for growth from within.
Our sales team is a friendly group who is willing to train you and share their knowledge. We will set you up for success.
This role is indoors in our Spa, Hearth & Leisure showroom. You will be responsible for helping our customers make decisions on our products and services and using a computer to log their information and complete the sale.
Over time you will become a subject matter expert on all of our products and services, and we will provide you with the training you will need to be successful.
We offer base pay plus generous monthly commissions and a work schedule that does not include late nights - be home for dinner! Work Schedule : Full -Time, 3 weekdays (9 : 45 a.
m.-6 p.m.), plus Saturday 8 : 45 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 10 : 45 a.m.-4 p.m.
Responsibilities :
- Sell fireplaces, wood stoves, spas, outdoor living items and all hearth and spa-related items and accessories and services.
- Ensure retail customers are greeted and serviced in an efficient, timely, professional and courteous manner.
- Assist in answering incoming phone calls and follow-up on voicemail and / or message follow-up calls.
- Review all your sales orders for pricing and accuracy to ensure there will be no complications at delivery or installation.
- Responsible for establishing sellable product mix while maintaining inventory levels based on customer needs.
- Make every effort to grow overall sales in the spas, hearth, and outdoor living product lines while maintaining maximum GP.
- Assist in marketing via Marketing Requests and Sales Manager.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization and merchandising to enhance the shopping experience as the premier destination for Spas and Hearth.
- Ensure that all offices and counter areas are neat and organized to maintain a presentable and professional atmosphere.
- Assist in all opening and closing procedures (phones, register, credit card machine, cash, daily invoices, lock up, securities, etc.).
- Directly involved in all inside sales.
- Assist outside sales efforts as needed i.e. : specs, site inspections, etc. Keep open communication with Outside Salesperson for your area.
- Assist with store and warehouse layout, management, and merchandising maintenance.
- Direct communications with General Manager to ensure all duties at Superior Retail are being fulfilled in accordance with Superior Policies.
- Actively participate in all sales meetings.
- Always ensure proper store coverage is maintained.
- Assist with new product evaluations.
- Assist with branch inventory control and receiving.
- Create and maintain general product library.
Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Retail sales experience
- Strong communication skills
- Product knowledge of hot tubs, fireplaces and saunas strongly preferred
- Professional appearance a must
- Attentive Customer Service (counter and phone skills)
- Moderate computer skills : Microsoft Office, E-mail, Internet
- Team player

In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined above, the employee may be required to perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.
These duties will vary in nature but are all integral to the successful operation and continuous improvement of the department.
The employee is expected to adapt to the dynamic needs of the organization, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to unforeseen tasks and challenges.
This includes, but is not limited to, participating in special projects, assisting with departmental initiatives, and providing support across various functions to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness.
