Direct Hire Quality Inspector
Location : Cincinnati, Ohio
Shift : Monday - Thursday 7am to 4pm + OT on Friday
Pay : $25+ based on experience

The Quality Inspector will perform mechanical inspections and checks using prescribed methods, techniques, and standardized inspection instruments and testing devices.
This role involves inspecting units and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet tolerances, finish requirements, and operational quality.
Skills and knowledge related to inspection procedures may be acquired through on-the-job training and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Understand and apply blueprints and customer specifications to inspection processes.
- Adhere to standard inspection procedures and guidelines.
- Perform inspections and evaluate welding criteria.
- Choose and implement inspection methods to verify specifications and dimensions. Utilize fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance within prescribed tolerances.
- Confirm the identification of parts and suppliers (internal or external). Perform inspection procedures, including checking dimensions, finishes, hardness, and detecting defects such as cracks.
- Inspect critical components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauging devices. Set and read adjustable inspection instruments accurately.
- Apply inspection procedures to parts from external suppliers, address any issues with supplier representatives, and manage defective items.
- Reject unacceptable items, instruct suppliers to retrieve them from the plant quarantine area, and assess salvage possibilities.
Recommend reworking where feasible or dispose of rejected items.
- Assist in resolving day-to-day inspection problems related to methods and devices.
- Fill out all required paperwork, including bubbled drawings, data sheets, PPAP packages, or customer-specific forms.
- Communicate with customers as necessary regarding inspection results and requirements.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) use and programming is preferred.
Physical Demands :
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift, and perform activities such as bending, squatting, twisting, and turning.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Stable work history.
- Dexterity and precision in operating gauges and testing equipment.
- Experience utilizing measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
