Job Summary and Objectives :

Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.

We are currently looking for a Distribution Design Specialist II to join the Conexon Field Services team.

Candidate will work with the team to ensure proper processing of field collected data, including cable tracing, make ready recommendations, annotations, and other actions requested by each client.

Candidate will check in daily with the Field Collection crew to manage and maintain data uploads to be processed as well.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Make ready evaluation and proposed pole solutions to provide clearance for fiber attachments
  • Scheduling with timeline production and tracking
  • Cost control for the client and Conexon
  • Weekly status reporting
  • Ability to aid RUS Staking Engineer in all aspects of their job.
  • Use engineering software (Katapult) for MRE notes, recommendations, classification and cable tracing
  • Work with Cooperative personnel to deliver MRE recommendations in a timely manner
  • QA / QC
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications :

1. High school or equivalent education level is required.

2. Travel for work will be required.

3. Attention to detail and accountability for work is required.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify optimization opportunities.

5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

7. Continuous learning mindset with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.

8. Electric Cooperative experience is highly preferred.

9. Knowledge of RUS specifications are highly preferred.
